   Although I do not know Peter and his family, I certainly do remember the name Fanning Downs. I was formerly Iris Doyle, born and bred in Charters Towers. My heart goes out to you all, as I lost my husband ten months ago and I have some idea of how you are feeling. I will keep you and Peter in my prayers, and I do believe he is at peace and in God’s care.

   I’m very sad to hear of this and my thoughts go out to the family.
   I worked on Fanning Downs 1968 and Peter was a lad. He rode up behind me on his push bike while I was riding a fresley broken horse. She got fright and I ended up on the ground and His father thought it was great as he had not seen me throwen before. I have fond memories of my time working there.
