(nee Roughan)
Late of Toowoomba and formerly of Charters Towers, passed away surrounded by family on 26th June 2026. Aged 93 years.
Beloved Wife of Les (dec). Much loved mother of Julie, Leslie, Peter, Mark, Paul, Andrew, Timothy and Bernadette. Cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Loved Aunty of the Otago, Roughan and Dixon families.
Relatives and friends attended Betty’s funeral, at St Columba’s Church, Gill St, Charters Towers. Her Requiem Mass commenced at 11am on Friday the 24th of July 2026.
Betty’s cortege then proceeded to the Harry Birgan Lawn Cemetery, Charters Towers.

Betty and my mum. Maureen Talbot, were nearly the same age. They shared wedding veils when they were married about two years apart, something borrowed. Maureen is still with us and as a family we send our sincere condolences to the Bagley family at this time. Any association we had with Betty either through Herbert Hall or the Church or schools were rewarding ones. May God bless her and welcome her to Heaven.
