FATHER JOHN HALL EMERSON

90 years
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Father John Hall Emerson, husband to Judith Ann (deceased) and father of David, Wendy and Mark & Jenny and families. Father John was well known in the Northern Region for his service to God and also as Police Chaplain and Nashos Chaplin.
His service was taken place on Friday the 3rd of July at All Souls St Gabriels School Chapel, 30 Doctor George Ellis Drive, Charters Towers at 11am. His family invited all who knew him to attend his farewell. The cortège then proceeded to the Harry Birgan Lawn Cemetery via Gill St for internment.
May he rest in eternal peace.

Rest in Peace Father John,
You were an amazing person. You were always there with an ear to listen, without judgement, and always had a tissue to let you cry when needed. You were always a quiet and calm influence on those around you and on those that needed you. Always had a joke or two when you thought it was needed also.
You baptised and did the confirmations of both of my older children while you were at St Matthews in Townsville many a moon ago.
You inspired so many people to live a better and more fulfilling life with purpose and meaning.
You are now at the eternal home with your wife and faith.
Rest in eternal Peace Father John. You have earned it.
